The Wild have placed Jason Zucker on injured reserve and recalled Stephane Veilleux from Iowa (AHL).

Zucker missed the most recent Wild game with a lower-body injury. His placement on IR allowed the Wild to recall Veilleux for forward depth. He is able to play as soon as he is healthy with his placement being retroactive to Feb. 6.

The Minnesota Wild has swapped a couple of forwards with Iowa (AHL). The club has recalled forward Erik Haula from the Iowa Wild and reassigned forward Jason Zucker.

The 21-year-old has registered 18 shots in seven games with Minnesota this season and owns seven points (4G / 3A) in 33 career NHL games with the Wild. Zucker has tallied 12 points (7G / 5A) and 49 PIMs in 16 games with Iowa this season.

Zucker will play with Jason Pominville and Mikael Granlund.

Zucker was recalled this morning and will get in the lineup for his second game of the season. Zucker is a fan favorite in Minnesota, so Wild fans should be excited to see him skate on the second line. The move forces, Nino Niederreiter down to the third line and Justin Fontaine to the fourth. Torrey Mitchell who appeared to be injured last night will be scratched.

The WIld have recalled Jason Zucker from Iowa (AHL).

Zucker seemed to be a shoo-in to make the roster before training camp began, but the emergence of Mikael Granlund and Nino Niederreiter cost Zucker his opening night gig because Zucker would be a waste on the fourth line. Zucker also strained his groin at an inopportune part of training camp. Zucker has tallied four goals and eight points, including three power-play goals, in 12 games with Iowa this season. Zucker played one scoreless game for the Wild earlier this season.
