Jesse Puljujarvi News
Puljujarvi (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision on Thursday.

Puljujarvi was missing from Thursday's morning skate for "precautionary reasons" and his status for tonight's game in Montreal is in question. Head coach Dave Tippett did not provide much of an update on Puljujarvi but James Neal will take his place with Connor McDavid and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins if he can't go.

The Oilers have signed Jesse Puljujarvi to a two-year contract worth $2.35 million ($1.175M AAV).

After three seasons with the Oilers organization in North America, Puljujarvi returned to Finland for the 2020 campaign. He led Karpat (Liiga) in goals (24) and points (53) in 56 games. He'll return to the NHL for the start of the 2021 season looking for some redemption. He had 17 goals and 20 assists (37 points) in 139 NHL games beforehand.

Puljujarvi is expected to be a healthy scratch on Sunday.

Puljujarvi has two assists in eight games since being recalled from Bakersfield (AHL) but it looks like he will be scratched tonight in Boston. This seems like a strange decision since the Oilers are looking for offence on the wings and Puljujarvi is one of their most promising wing prospects.
