The Ducks recalled Kevin Boyle from San Diego (AHL) on Friday, which suggests that Gibson will not be available for Saturday’s game. Look for Chad Johnson to start while Gibson is sidelined.

Gibson was pulled after allowing three goals on 11 shots in the Ducks come from behind win over the Capitals on Sunday. Gibson has had more good nights than bad this season and has been steady on home-ice, going 6-1-4 with a 2.19 GAA and .931 SV% in 11 games. He lost his first start against the Blackhawks but Chicago has been horrible. The Blackhawks have lost four straight and have just three wins in their last 18 games (3-13-2).
