Klingberg was listed as questionable after leaving Saturday’s game early. There was no word throughout the day, nor in warmups, but he will play tonight in Philadelphia. He has 36 points (10G / 26A) in 52 games this season.
Klingberg left Saturday’s game with a lower-body injury, but the Stars are hopeful that he will be available for Tuesday’s game against the Flyers. Klingberg has an assist in four straight games and seven helpers in his last 10 games—however he is a minus-7 over that span as well.
After acquiring Jason Demers from the Sharks, the Stars have moved Klingberg up to the top-pair with Alex Goligoski. He will also man the point on the top PP unit. His NHL career has been off to a hot start, posting one goal and four assists in his first six games. He makes for a great add in standard leagues.
Klingberg now has one goal and three assists in the first six games of his NHL career. He is playing nearly 24 minutes a night, including an average 1:37 on the power-play. He is a dynamic offensive defenseman, which allowed the Stars to trade Sergei Gonchar. He is worth a speculative add in standard leagues.
Klingberg, 22, has scored four goals with eight assists (12 points) in 10 games with Texas this season. He as the Stars fifth round selection (131st overall) in 2010, but has yet to make an NHL appearance. This is his first full year in North America, he had 28 points (11G / 17A) in 50 games with Frolunda HC in Sweden last year.
