The Canadiens have claimed Kale Clague off of waivers from the Kings.

Clague was a second-round pick (No.51 overall) in 2016 and was waived by the Kings after just 33 career NHL games. Clague has picked up five assists in 11 games this season and will likely factor in full-time on the Canadiens' blueline.

Clague will draw back into the Kings lineup on Thursday.

Clague played in the season opener but sat out the last two games. On Thursday he is expected to replace Kurtis MacDermid and skate on the third line with Sean Walker. He had one shot and two PIMS in 15:19 TOI last Thursday.
