Shattenkirk was once again a full participant in Blues’ practice on Monday, but will miss his sixth straight game on Tuesday. The Blues coaching staff said it is now up to Shattenkirk when he returns. Whenever he feels like he can play, he will play. Monitor his status leading up to Thursday’s game vs. Anaheim.
Despite practicing throughout the week, Shattenkirk will miss his fifth consecutive game. With that said, he is definitely nearing a return and should be back in the lineup next week.

The Blues head coach Ken Hitchcock said that Shattenkirk left for precautionary reasons and will be reevaluated on Wednesday. Shattenkirk missed a lot of time in 2014-15 with an abdominal injury. St. Louis is back in action on Thursday, so monitor Shattenkirk’s status leading up to their meeting with the Oilers.

As he continues to skate, the Blues will start to get a better idea of how much longer he will be sidelined.
Shattenkirk will have the procedure in the next seven to 10 days and be listed as week-to-week following its completion. He eads all defensemen with 32 assists and ranks second with 40 points overall through 49 games this season. Expect him to miss at least two weeks, but with the week-to-week tag, there will not be daily updates on his status.

Sounds like Shattenkirk has kicked the flu and will be able to draw back into the lineup. The Greenwich, Connecticut native has three goals and 15 points through 27 games.
