Letang suffered a lower-body injury during the Penguins’ overtime win over the Bruins on Wednesday. Letang is expected to miss at least the next five games and another injury report will likely be issued after the Christmas break.
Letang has missed the last five games with an upper-body injury, but he will play tonight in Anaheim. Letang has registered two assists and 16 shots on goal in four games this season and will re-claim his spot on the top pair and power-play unit.
Letang was on the ice for the Penguins’ morning skate, but will miss his fourth straight game on Thursday. HIs availability for the morning skate is a good sign though and he could be ready to return on Saturday in Philadelphia.
Letang was injured late in Tuesday’s game in Montreal and he will miss tonight’s game vs. the Sharks. Letang is considered day-to-day, but no other details have been released about his injury.
Letang left Tuesday’s game with an upper-body injury and did not return. The Penguins did not give much of an update on Letang, other than to call him day-to-day. Letang has had a difficult time staying healthy throughout his career, so add this to a lengthy list. Monitor his status during Thursday’s morning skate.
Letang missed Wednesday’s practice, but will play on Thursday vs. the Flyers. Letang’s health has been a common question mark this season, but when he has been in the lineup he has produced at a high rate. Letang has 30 points (6G / 24A) in 35 games this season.
After missing Sunday’s game vs. the Hurricanes, Letang will play tonight in St. Louis. David Warsofsky (concussion) will come out of the lineup for Letang. He has six goals and 22 assists (28 points) in 34 games this season.
Letang’s presence on the ice for warmups is a good sign that he will play tonight, but we will not know for sure until about five minutes before puck-drop, when the official roster report is released.
Letang missed Sunday’s game with a wrist injury but he will be a game-time decision tonight in St. Louis. If Letang can’t play, Derrick Pouliot, who was recalled this morning, will play.
