Magnus Paajarvi News
Paajarvi in; Chris Porter out.

Paajarvi was a healthy scratch on Sunday, but will get back in the lineup tonight. Paajarvi has six goals and four assists (10 points) in 42 games this season. He has played under 10 minutes in five of the last seven games, so his fantasy value is non-existent at this point.

The St. Louis Blues announced today the club has placed forward Magnus Paajarvi on injured reserve.

Paajarvi has no points and is a minus-1 through his first four games with the Blues. His placement on IR is likely retroactive to October 26th, which would make him eligible to return on Saturday vs. Tampa Bay - but that is not official.

Paajarvi (upper-body) questionable for Friday.

Paajarvi missed Tuesday's game vs. the Jets and also missed Wednesday's practice with an upper-body injury. The Blues will decide tomorrow if Paajarvi will travel with the team to Florida for Friday's contest with the Panthers.

Paajarvi is out tonight vs. the Jets.

Paajarvi will miss the game against the Jets and is day-to-day after being checked in the offensive zone by the Predators' Victor Bartley midway through the first period on Saturday. "Magnus is going to be day-to-day. He won’t play on Tuesday and then we'll just evaluate him on the road trip and see how he feels," said Blues head coach Ken Hitchcock.

Paajarvi is day to day, injury not as serious as initially thought. Won't play Tuesday, Cracknell will play.

Paajarvi was injured after playing just 3:34 on Saturday. He will miss Tuesday's game after playing in the last four games with the Blues. Paajarvi could be back in the lineup on Friday vs. Florida.

Paajarvi will make his Blues debut tonight in Chicago.

Paajarvi came over in the David Perron trade this offseason. He has been a bust to this point in his career, and is clearly not getting enough playing time to be fantasy relevant in his new home.

The Edmonton Oilers have acquired left-winger David Perron from the Blues in exchange for left-winger Magnus Paajarvi and a 2014 second-round draft pick.

Paajarvi had 26 goals and 32 assists in 163 games with the Oilers. He was drafted 10th overall by Edmonton in 2009.

Magnus Paajarvi likely to get a look with Gagner and Hemsky tonight. Eager and Jones will flank Belanger.

With Teemu Hartikainen going on IR with an injured shoulder Paajarvi will assume his position on the second line. Paajarvi will need to play well alongside Gagner and Hemsky if he wants to stay on that line. This is a good opportunity for the former 10th overall pick to finally live up to that potential.

Paajarvi has been moved up to the third line with Horcoff and Smyth.

Paajarvi played his first game game of the year on Tuesday, but only saw 9:30 of ice time. He must have played well enough to impress the Edmonton coaching staff as they've moved him up to the third line. He still isn't fantasy relevant until he proves he can score at this level.

Oilers will send Paajarvi to OKC so he can play more. Will be official later today.

Paajarvi will play in all situations in the AHL which is probably a better fit right now. In 41 games with the Oilers, the sophomore scored two goals and eight points.

Magnus Paajarvi looks OK...he's on the ice early today. Great news.

Paajarvi took a hard hit from Scott Hartnell last night which many feared could be a concussion. However, it seems like he is OK. Through 40 games, he has two goals and eight points.
