Malcolm Subban News
The Bruins have recalled Malcolm Subban from Providence (AHL).

Subban, 22, has gone 0-3-1 with a 4.50 GAA and .846 SV% in his first four games with Providence this season. With Tuukka Rask still sidelined with general soreness, Subban can be expected to backup Anton Khudobin on Tuesday and could start the tail-end of the back-to-back if Rask is still out. Subban allowed three goals on six shots in his NHL debut.

Subban will make his NHL debut in St. Louis.

Subban, 21, has gone 10-10-3 with a 2.47 GAA and .920 SV% with Providence (AHL) this season. He was expected to make his NHL debut on Wednesday, but I guess the Bruins really wanted to test him. Rather than start him vs. the 29th placed team, he starts his NHL career vs. the 4th ranked team.

Subban is expected to be recalled and join the Bruins in Edmonton.

Subban had recently been sent down and did not get into any games during his recall. The 2012 first round pick has gone 10-10-3 with a 2.47 GAA and .920 SV% in Providence (AHL) and there is reportedly a lot of interest in him with the trade deadline looming. The belief is that he is being recalled and could start on Wednesday as an NHL showcase before the deadline. It is even more interesting because the game is vs. Edmonton, a team who is believed to be interested in Subban and a team with players like Jordan Eberle, who the Bruins are very interested in.
