Mike Reilly News
The Wild have sent Mike Reilly to Iowa (AHL).

Reilly, 23, was a fourth round pick in 2011 who put up huge offensive numbers at the University of Minnesota, but has had a tough time producing in the NHL. The Chicago native has just one goal in 17 games with Minnesota this season and heads back to Iowa where he has 15 points (4G / 11A) in 29 games.

Reilly will be a healthy scratch on Saturday.

Reilly played 14:09 and was a minus-1 in the Wild’s season opening loss in St. Louis and tonight he will come out of the lineup in favour of Christian Folin. It may be more of a reaction to their opponent than a knock on Reilly. The Jets are a heavy, physical team and it should be a game more suitable for Folin’s game.

Reilly will make his NHL debut on Saturday.

The Wild signed the University of Minnesota product last season and he has picked up 18 points (5G / 13A) in 32 games with Iowa (AHL) this season. He will make his NHL debut on the Wild’s third D-pair with Jonas Brodin as his partner. His offensive ability could see him playing a bit of power-play in his debut, but head coach Mike Yeo did not confirm that.
