Meanwhile, Coyotes Head Coach Dave Tippett on Friday said Smith’s injury does not appear to be a long-term injury.

While Tippett gave that vague update, it seems like Curtis McElhinney was recalled to get some action. Sounds like Smith will at least miss another week. Prior to getting hurt, the Kingston, Ontario started 28 of 34 games.
