Darcy Regier confirmed Grigorenko is on the Sabres roster, but doesn't expect him to play Wednesday in Boston.
The 18-year-old has had a hard time adjusting his game to the NHL. He has one goal and four assists in 22 goals this season.
Grigorenko only has 1 G, 2 A and is a -4 in 14 games this season. He is only averaging just a shade over 11 minutes a game, so he is not fantasy relevant.
Grigorenko was scratched in the Sabres last game but will draw back into the lineup tonight. The rookie only has 1 G and 2 A in 12 games this year but is still trying to find his way around the NHL. He only holds fantasy value in keeper leagues.
Grigorenko will get a chance to stay up with the big-club but still does not hold much fantasy value because he has yet to register a point this season. However he is worth keeping an eye on.
Grigorenko just played in his 5th game of the season which meant it is time for the Sabres to decide whether or not to keep him or send him back to juniors. The fact that he is on the ice this morning seems like he will stay with the team. However he has been a non-factor this season recording 0 points in 5 contests.
Grigorenko wasn't expected to make the team this year, so he must have had a great camp. He is a big body that plays even bigger than his 6'3" frame. He still has room to grow as well, but wait and see how he translates his game from camp to live action before rushing to the waiver wire.
