Wood was a late scratch just before warmups Thursday and will miss his first game of the season due to an undisclosed injury. The 27-year-old has six goals and 11 points along with a +9 plus/minus across 23 games this season.
The Devils have re-signed Miles Wood to a one-year, $3.2 million contract.
