Pavelec allowed one goal on 17 shots after replacing Michael Hutchinson on Sunday. Pavelec has had a solid start to the season going 1-1-0 with a 2.28 GAA and .917 SV% in three appearances. Tonight, he gets the call against a Nashville team he is 2-2-1 with a 2.18 GAA and .933 SV% against last season.

Pavelec was able to coast to a win on Thursday after the Jets burst out to a 4-1 lead just 14:11 into the first period. Pavelec turned aside 26 of 28 shots in the Jets' 6-2 win over Arizona. On Saturday he will have a much tougher test when he takes on a Sharks team who blanked the defending Cup Champs on opening night.

Pavelec has lacked consistency throughout his career and that is to be expected again this season. He finished last season with just 22 wins, a 3.01 GAA and .901 SV% in 57 games. Expect him to be marginally better across the board this season, but the Jets did not do enough this offseason to suddenly become a playoff team. Pavelec is a nice third goaltending option and can put numbers up for you when he has favourable matchups.

Pavelec stopped 28 of 29 shots in a 2-1 win over the Coyotes on Tuesday. It was a nice bounce-back game for Pavelec who had lost his last two games while giving up eight goals. With Al Montoya still sidelined, Pav is their only legit option tonight vs. the Penguins. Pavelec has struggled at the MTS Centre, going 11-13-5 with a 3.28 GAA and .889 SV% this season.

Pavelec allowed five goals on 36 shots in a OT loss to the Ducks last night. After missing six games, Pavelec has returned to lose two in a row with a 5.98 GAA (not an April fools joke) and .846 SV%. Pavelec has gone 2-0-0 with a 1.44 GAA and .945 SV% against the Coyotes this season.

Pavelec was pulled after allowing three goals on 16 shots in a loss to the Kings on Saturday. With Al Montoya battling an injury, the Jets will turn to Pavelec again in Anaheim. Pav has gone 1-1-0 with a 2.51 GAA and .934 SV% vs. the Ducks this season.

Pavelec was back on the practice ice Wednesday for the first time since suffering a lower-body injury on March 14, but head coach Paul Maurice said he’s not going to rush him back into action on Thursday against the Sharks. Pavelec felt good after the hour-long workout, during which he seemed to show no ill effects of whatever was affecting him. Monitor his status during Saturday's morning skate.

Pavelec will miss his fifth straight game with a lower-body injury he suffered on March 14th. Al Montoya will start once again and Pavelec remains day-to-day. After Monday, the Jets are off until Thursday, monitor Pavelec's status leading up to that game vs. San Jose.

Pavelec will missed tomorrow's game vs. Carolina, but monitor whether or not he travels to Dallas for Monday's game vs. the Stars. Monday is the start of a five-game road trip for the Jets, expect Pavelec back by next Thursday in San Jose if he can't play Monday.
