Lindberg continues to recover from offseason hip surgery and was finally able to shed his no-contact jersey on Monday. Lindberg will not be ready for the regular season and remains 2-4 weeks away from being ready to play.

Lindberg has played just over 10 minutes in each of the last two games, but has one goal, one assist and is a plus-4 in those contests. Despite some solid numbers recently, he will sit in favour of Chris Kreider, who is returning from a hand injury.

Lindberg, 23, has scored 16 goals and 20 assists (36 points) in 54 games with Hartford. He has been recalled because a few of the Rangers forwards are under the weather, so he could be in the lineup tonight.
