Patrick Sharp News
Sharp (leg) will return to the Blackhawks lineup on Tuesday.

Sharp has been sidelined with a leg injury since November 4th, but will be back in tonight vs. New Jersey. Sharp was given a 3-4 week timetable, and he ended up missing just over four weeks. The emergence of Kris Versteeg in his absence means that Sharp will return on the Hawks third line with Andrew Shaw and Bryan Bickell.

Sharp (leg) expected to return to the Blackhawks lineup on Tuesday.

Sharp took part in Blackhawks practice on Monday and skated on a line with Andrew Shaw and Bryan Bickell. It looks like he will be back in tomorrow vs. the Devils, which is great news for Sharp owners, who have been without their stud winger since November 4th.

Sharp (leg) will not play on Saturday; targeting Tuesday to return.

As expected, Sharp will not play tonight vs. the Predators. However, he is very close to being back in the lineup and it appears as if he could be back on Tuesday vs. the Devils. Monitor his status leading up to that game.

Sharp (leg) will not play Friday; likely next week.

The Blackhawks have a back-to-back on Friday and Saturday so it doesn’t sound like he will play in either game. The next game would be Tuesday in New Jersey. Continue to monitor his closely because he is getting close.

Sharp (leg) has returned to Blackhawks practice.

Originally, Sharp was expected to return to the Blackhawks’ lineup tomorrow vs. the Blues, but it looks like his owners will have to wait a little bit longer. After Wednesday, Chicago has a back-to-back on Friday and Saturday, Sharp could return in one of those games.

Sharp (leg) might not return on Wednesday as originally expected.

Head coach Joel Quenneville did not sound too confident when he was asked when Sharp would be back. Sharp could be back on Friday vs. the Canadiens if he is not back on Wednesday.

The Blackhawks have placed Patrick Sharp on long-term IR.

Sharp is still expected to start skating today or tomorrow and going on LTIR should not alter his timeline. Sharp is still expected to be back in 7-14 days. The move is simply a salary cap move.

Sharp (leg) will miss three to four weeks.

Sharp injured his leg on Tuesday vs. the Habs and will miss 14-21 days with the injury. Brandon Saad will move up to the Hawks second line with Sharp out. Sharp had three goals and six assists in 13 games before being injured.

Sharp (leg) is out indefinitely.

Sharp suffered what appeared to be a right leg injury in Tuesday’s win over the Blackhawks. Sharp was crunched in the corner by Alexei Emelin and needed help getting off of the ice. Head coach Joel Quenneville said Sharp could be out “a bit, we will know more in the next day or so.” His injury should allow Brandon Saad to move back up in the Hawks lineup.

Sharp had to be helped off of the ice after sustaining a right leg injury.

Sharp had his leg pinned between the boards and Canadiens' defenseman Alexei Emelin. Sharp stayed down for a few moments before he was helped off of the ice by trainers. He was not able to put any weight on a leg, which is not a good sign for the Hawks' star winger.

Patrick Sharp
Sharp has been moved to the Blackhawks first line with Jonathan Toews and Marian Hossa.

This move was made in the third period on Saturday, but remained permanent in practice on Monday. Sharp has stumbled out of the gate with just one goal and four assists in 11 games.

Patrick Sharp indeed will play tonight for #Blackhawks.

Sharp missed the last five games with an upper-body injury. He will play with Patrick Kane and either rookie Drew Leblanc or Dave Bolland, but the Blackhawks are keeping quiet on who it will be.

Patrick Sharp
Sharp wearing a white non-contact jersey today, probably not a good sign for him playing tomorrow.

Sharp has played in two games since he returned so if he misses tomorrow's game, he either re-aggravated his upper body injury or is just receiving a maintenance day in anticipation of the playoffs.

Patrick Sharp will play for #Blackhawks tonight vs. Wild.

As was leaked yesterday, Sharp appears to be ready to return from his shoulder injury tonight against Minnesota. Sharp will give the Hawks a big late season boost but also should help out your fantasy team in the playoffs. Where Sharp will fit in hasn't been released, yet.

Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Sharp will travel with the team to Minnesota and might play for the first time in 14 games on Tuesday against the Wild.

"It'll be nice to get him going here," Quenneville said of Sharp before Sunday's game. "We probably added a couple extra days here to his time away. He's been skating well, and he wants to play. Look forward to getting him in the lineup because it gives us a lot more options with the lines as well." Sounds like Sharp is ready to go, get him in your lineup.
