Peter Mueller News
FIVE IN FIVE: Peter Mueller has four goals and five points in his last five games...has 29 shots in eight games since returning from injury.

Dubbed the 'savior' during his first season with the Avs, Mueller is helping turn their season around. He should be a good point stream through the season.

Forwards David Jones (groin) and Peter Mueller (head) also participated in a full practice and might soon be available.

Mueller continues to practice and was described as going full speed a few times over the last couple of weeks. While he's taken practice with contact, getting back into game shape is another story.

Indeed, every time we hear he is coming back, he has a setback. Mueller, 23, was scheduled to return a couple weeks ago, before he became unavailable because of the groin problem.

Don't expect Mueller back in the lineup any time soon. The 23-year-old was only able to play in three games and continues to battle two injuries.

Left wing Peter Mueller, who has missed the past 13 games with post-concussion symptoms, participated in practice Friday but will not play tonight.

Mueller continues to progress but will not draw into tonight's lineup. He has now missed the last 13 games as he continues to recover from a "head injury".

The Avalanche is halfway through practice right now and oft-injured left wing Peter Mueller is skating with a blue sweater on the Matt Duchene-centered line with David Jones.

All indications would point to Mueller returning to the lineup soon. Adrian Dater noted yesterday that Mueller was "flying" around the ice. Expect to see him donning the Burgundy and Blue sooner rather than later.

Winger Peter Mueller is participating in all drills and not wearing an orange no-contact sweater. That’s good news for Mueller, whose concussion or “head” injuries have limited him to 18 games over three seasons in Colorado.

All reports sounded incredibly positive on Mueller, who apparently skated at top speed today. Should Ryan O'Reilly miss any playing time, the former 'Savior' may be an option for the Avs.

One player who wasn't out there, however: left wing Peter Mueller. He remains out with a head injury and won't play Wednesday night when the Avs play their first divisional game of the season, at Calgary. Mueller missed the final weeks of the 2009-10 season and all of last season with a concussion. The Avs have yet to confirm that he's again suffering from concussion symptoms, though the team has been in touch with noted Boston concussion specialist Dr. Robert Cantu about Mueller.

Doesn't look good for the wounded Mueller. If you haven't dropped him already feel free to return him to the waiver wire.

Mueller has missed the past five games, including that past two since being listed with a "head" injury

Mueller remains out indefinitely with a head injury although he was previously skating and practicing with the club. At this point he should be safe to drop as he has not proven himself healthy and consistent offensively.

The team practiced Friday morning before departing for Chicago. As expected, forward Peter Mueller did not participate and will miss his fifth consecutive game. Mueller missed all of last season because of postconcussion symptoms, and he is unavailable with what the team is calling a "head" injury.

Doesn't sound like Mueller will be available any time soon. As usual, stay tuned for a further update from the team regarding his "head" injury.

Avalanche left wing Peter Mueller was not skating this morning as the team prepares for tonight's game against the Chicago Blackhawks, and Avs coach Joe Sacco said today that Mueller has also been scratched for Saturday's game against the Blackhawks game in Chicago.

Sounds like Mueller had a setback or simply can't find himself on the ice. As always, stay tuned for a further update from the team.
