Under Alain Vigneault, Rick Nash could be in for a monster season. Nash, who once scored 40 goals with the defensive-oriented Ken Hitchcock as his coach in Columbus, should thrive in Vigneault's up-tempo system.

"Yeah, it's exciting," Nash said straight-faced. "I played against him quite a bit, playing in the West [for the Columbus Blue Jackets]. He's got an up-tempo style, but his teams are always sound defensively too. So it's been fun so far."

Rick Nash will not be joining the team for Saturday night’s game against the Canadiens. If this is indeed a concussion, the Rangers should be obligated to have way more transparency about the matter because head injury prevention and player safety is supposed to be a league priority. And if it’s not a concussion, what’s wrong with the team saying that? In any case, Nash will miss his third straight game with an undisclosed injury.
