McDonagh will miss his second straight game on Thursday but head coach Jon Cooper hinted to him missing the final game of their road-trip (Saturday) as well. With McDonagh out, Andreas Borgman will remain in the lineup on Thursday.

McDonagh left Sunday's game vs. the Panthers with a lower-body injury and will not play on Tuesday. Head coach Jon Cooper said the team is hopeful that he will play at some point during their road-trip, so he's day-to-day.






Head coach Jon Cooper updated McDonagh's status following Saturday's morning skate and it wasn't good. Cooper said that McDonagh is "more than day-to-day" and that they will "circle back in a couple of weeks to see how much progress" he makes.

McDonagh left Thursday's game after blocking an Evgeni Malkin shot and did not return. McDonagh was reportedly seen in a walking boot postgame but head coach Jon Cooper said he didn't believe it was very serious. Luke Schenn is expected to replace him on Saturday.

McDonagh missed the last six games with an upper-body injury but will play Thursday in Minnesota. McDonagh will be back on the second-pair next to Erik Cernak and comes in with one goal and 10 assists (11 points) in 40 games.
