Ryan Suter News
Suter (illness) is doubtful at minimum for Wednesday's game.

Suter missed Tuesday's practice and did not take part in the Wild's morning skate. He is "doubtful at a minimum" according to head coach Mike Yeo, so expect Suter to sit tonight vs. the Canadiens. If he sits expect Christian Folin to be in the lineup.

Suter left Thursday's game with an undisclosed injury and did not return. The fact that he isn't skating this morning indicates he likely isn't going to play tonight. Either Prosser and Falk will enter the lineup to replace Suter, and Jared Spurgeon will move to the top d-pair.

He has been on the ice for 11 of the 15 goals the Wild has allowed, and he has a minus-5 plus-minus rating, which leaves him tied for 611th in the NHL out of 624 skaters.

Suter is too high profile to give up on now but it's understandable that the absence of Shea Weber across the point is affecting his play. Stick Suter on the pine for now, if you must.

Now, Suter is day-to-day with an upper-body injury, and he's concerned he will be unable to play in the All-Star game on Jan. 29 in Ottawa.

Including tonight, the Preds play four games before the All-Star Game which would mean Suter could miss all of them. The Madison, Wisconsin native is on track for a career year with five goals and 25 points in 44 games.
