Wedgewood will start Friday vs. the Capitals.

Wedgewood allowed three goals on 37 shots in the Coyotes loss in Chicago on December 10th. Antti Raanta started the last three games but Wedgewood will start the front-end of the Coyotes back-to-back tonight. In his first start vs. the Capitals, Wedgewood allowed three goals on 40 shots in a 3-2 OT loss.

Wedgewood made 41 saves on 44 shots in the Coyotes loss in Calgary on Thursday. Since Antti Raanta got hurt, Wedgewood has gone 1-2-1 with a 3.00 GAA and .899 SV% in four starts and a relief appearance. He will take on a new-look Devils team that comes in with wins in three of their last four.

Wedgewood allowed three goals on 27 shots in the Coyotes loss in Edmonton on Tuesday. Wedgewood is now 2-3-2 with a 2.99 GAA and .901 SV% since joining the Coyotes. While he’s filled in well for Antti Raanta, he draws a rough road matchup tonight in Calgary. The Flames have won five of their last seven home games.

Wedgwood gave up three goals on 17 shots in the Coyotes loss to Vegas on Saturday. Wedgewood is more backup material, but with Antti Raanta out, he will continue to start. Wedgewood has a 3.02 GAA and .903 SV% in seven games this season and even though the Oilers have struggled this year, Wedgewood is a risky start on the road tonight.

Wedgewood stopped 23 of 25 shots in the Coyotes win over the Kings on Friday. It was a nice start for Wedgewood, who is filling in for the injured Antti Raanta again. Wedgewood has gone 2-2-1 with a 2.74 GAA and .911 SV% in four starts and two relief appearances since joining the Coyotes via trade.

Wedgewood allowed four goals on 39 shots in the Coyotes loss in Detroit last Tuesday. Antti Raanta returned to the lineup to start the last two games, but it looks like Wedgewood will start the first game of Arizona’s back-to-back. Wedgewood has stopped 63 of 70 shots (.900 SV%) since being acquired by the Coyotes.

Wedgewood allowed three goals on 31 shots in the Coyotes’ win in Philadelphia last night. It was a strong Arizona debut for the young netminder, who will start on back-to-back nights with Antti Raanta (lower-body) still on the mend. Going on back-to-back nights can be tough, but Wedgewood should be well rested and has a decent matchup in Detroit.

Wedgewood will make his Coyotes debut on Monday.

Wedgewood served as a backup on Saturday after being acquired from New Jersey and tonight he will make his debut in Philadelphia. The 25-year-old spent most of last season in Albany (AHL) where he was 5-3-0 with a 2.18 GAA and .912 SV%. The former third round pick will be their starter until Antti Raanta returns from injury.

Wedgewood stopped the first 25 shots he faced before giving up a goal in overtime in Friday’s 1-0 loss to the Capitals. He has been sensational since being recalled from Albany, going 2-0-1 with a 0.66 GAA, .978 SV% and one shutout. He will look to keep things rolling against a Hurricanes team on a back-to-back, that has gone 1-2-4 while averaging 2.14 goals per game in their last seven.

Wedgewood stopped all 39 shots that he faced in the Devils shutout win over the Penguins last night. Despite a heavy workload, he will start again tonight vs. the Capitals. He has won each of his first two NHL starts while sipping 66 of 67 shots (.985 SV%). He faces a Washington team that has won three of their last four.
