Sergei Bobrovsky News
Bobrovsky will start Saturday in Detroit.

Bobrovsky allowed three goals on 22 shots sin the Panthers' win in Columbus on Tuesday. Despite giving up a combined seven goals on 58 shots (.879 SV%), Bobrovsky has opened the season at 2-0-0 and draws an outstanding matchup tonight in Detroit. The Red Wings are without a number of key players and have lost four consecutive games while scoring just 1.75 goals per game.

Bobrovsky will start Tuesday in Columbus.

Bobrovsky allowed four goals on 36 shots in the Panthers' 5-4 overtime win over the Blackhawks last Tuesday. With COVID-19 postponements interfering with the Panthers schedule, Bobrovsky will make his second start of the year one full week after his first. Tuesday's game will mark his third return to Columbus--he was 1-1-1 with a 2.00 GAA and .944 SV% in three games against his former team in 2020.

Bobrovsky (undisclosed) returned to practice on Wednesday.

Bobrovsky had not been on the ice for the first two weeks of training camp but jumped right back between the pipes for Wednesday's practice. The start of the season for Florida has been pushed back to Sunday, so it looks like there's a chance that Bobrovsky could be ready for their season opener.

Bobrovsky (undisclosed) is not expected to be ready for the start of the season.

Bobrovsky has yet to take the ice for training camp and remains on the unfit to play list. With Bobrovsky still not on the ice, it seems highly unlikely that he will be available for Sunday's season opener vs. the Blackhawks. With Bobrovsky out, Chris Driedger and Samuel Montembeault will be the Panthers' goaltending duo.

Bobrovsky is day-to-day with a lower-body injury.

Bobrovsky was a late-scratch on Sunday and missed Tuesday's practice, putting his status for Thursday's game in doubt. If Bobrovsky isn't available vs. the Bruins, Chris Driedger comes back from the AHL and will join Sam Montembeault as the Panthers' temporary goaltending duo.

Bobrovsky suffered a lower-body injury in warmups on Sunday.

Bobrovsky was scheduled to start vs. the Flames but "tweaked" something during warmups which led to Samuel Montembeault getting the nod for the Panthers. If the Panthers want a chance at making the playoffs, they need a healthy Bobrovsky. Luckily they're off until Thursday, so he should be good-to-go.

Bobrovsky will start Saturday vs. the Blackhawks.

Bobrovsky surrendered four goals on 28 shots in the Panthers loss to the Maple Leafs on Thursday. The veteran has been very inconsistent in the month of February, going 4-7-1 with a 3.33 GAA and .903 SV% in 12 starts. Today he’ll try and keep the Panthers in the playoff hunt with a win over the Blackhawks—he stopped 32 of 35 shots in a 4-3 win in his first start vs. Chicago.

Bobrovsky led the Panthers onto the ice for warmups.

Bobrovsky stopped 37 of 38 shots in the Panthers 2-1 win in Arizona on Tuesday. It was an outstanding game for Bobrovsky, who has won three of his last four games while posting a 2.51 GAA and .931 SV%. Tonight he'll start a crucial game vs. the Maple Leafs, who he stopped 31 of 34 shots in a 5-3 win against in early-February.
