Baertschi was also a healthy scratch on October 24 vs. Dallas. He barely saw the ice in the third period of Sunday's win over the Blackhawks. He will come out of the lineup and Lance Bouma enters. Baertschi has one goal and four assists in 13 games.

The Flames are looking for more out of Baertschi who has just one goal and three assists in nine games. Stajan will play in his first game since the season opener.

Baertschi has 10 goals and 16 assists in 32 AHL games this season. He has just one assist in 10 games with the Flames this season.

Baertschi (hip-flexor) hasn't played since January 26 but practiced today albeit in a "no-contact" jersey is still not expected to be back all that soon, but the fact that he is skating is a good sign.

Baertschi is only fantasy relevant in deep leagues.

Baertschi shouldn't miss any time as long as coach Hartley's assessment of his injury is accurate. Baertschi still isn't fantasy relevant as he hasn't registered a point yet this season.

There are likely better options for you on the waiver wire at this point than to hold out hope on Baertschi.
