Hall will miss tonight’s game after suffering a leg injury when he was hit by a shot in Monday’s practice. He will undergo further testing this afternoon which will help determine the severity of his injury. Benoit Pouliot will be on the top-line with Hall out.

Hall was diagnosed with a sprained MCL and is expected to miss 2-4 weeks. He is eligible to be activated next week, but he is not expected to be healthy. It obviously depends on the severity of the sprain and the player, but Ducks' forward Pat Maroon only missed two weeks with a sprain MCL, so there is some optimism that Hall won't be out one month.

Edmonton is going to be in trouble without Hall for at least two weeks, but they have talent that can step up in his absence, it is just a matter of if they do or not.

It sounds like the injury is not too serious, so he could potentially join the team in the middle of the trip.
Following Saturday's game, head coach Dallas Eakins had no update on Hall's status, but he was spotted leaving the arena with no crutches or walking boot, which is positive news that the injury might not be too severe. Losing Hall would be a huge loss for the Oilers, but with two days off before their next game, he could be back.
Hall was held out of practice on Monday and did not take part in this morning's optional skate, but he will play through his minor shoulder pain. He will skate on the top line with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Sam Gagner.

Hall will have to wear a brace on his knee the rest of the season, but that’s a small price to pay to be back, for Thursday’s game on a line with Sam Gagner and Nail Yakupov.

This is a terrible break for the Oilers who's lineup has been depleted by injuries all month. Coming into the season Hall looked poised for another great season, but concerns about injury always loom near with the 21-year-old. Expect Nail Yakupov to take on an expanded role as he looks to fill in for Hall and get back into coach Dallas Eakins good graces.

The Oilers and Hall owners are hoping that an MRI in Edmonton reveals no structural damage to his injured knee. Leaving the team on the road trip isn't exactly a good sign, but we'll have to wait and see what the MRI reveals.

The Hall centre experiment is over with the return of Nugent-Hopkins. Hall has shifted back to his natural position of LW with RNH and Eberle. Hall has one assist but is a minus-5 in two games so far.

Hall will not play today so get him out of your lineups if it isn't too late. He isn't expected to be out long-term, the Oilers just don't want to force him into action when he isn't at 100%.
The Wild and Oilers play late on Sunday so you may want to cautiously sit Hall unless word on his status comes out before the first games. At the very least, it looks as if Hall will only be day-to-day instead of going on IR.
