Tatar was called up to try and spark the Red WIngs secondary scoring. Tatar has 19 G, 22 A and a +13 in 44 AHL games this season. The crafty Slovak will play on the Wings second line with Datsyuk and Filppula, which gives him a great opportunity to produce.
Tatar heads back to the AHL after being a healthy scratch. The gifted forward will be better served seeing top minutes with the Grand Rapids Griffins.
Tatar will start tonight's game on the fourth line. The rookie scored 13 goals and 36 points in 49 AHL games.
Expect Tatar to play on the third line and possibly see some time on PP2.
As expected, Tatar was just insurance for Jiri Hudler. He returns to the AHL, where he gets playing time.
Tatar will only play tonight if Jiri Hudler or another banged up forward can't draw in. Otherwise, expect the talented winger to head back to the AHL.
Apparently there is another player who may not be able to play. Tatar scored seven goals and 21 points in 26 games while in the AHL and would presumably fill in on a scoring line.
Tatar is the team's top forward prospect. Last season, Tatar scored 24 goals and 57 points with the team's minor league affiliate Grand Rapid Griffins, earning a nine-game audition with the big club. He likely only makes the team if an offensive role opens up for him.
