Mitchell is off to a decent start this season with three assists over his first eight games. If he sticks on a scoring line he could have some decent short-term value.

Look for Torrey Mitchell to miss another game. He said yesterday he felt good enough to play, but it’s not like McLellan to do much line-tinkering when the team is on a three-game winning streak.
With the team winning, Mitchell is unlikely to return tonight. The often-injured forward is off to an excellent start with three assists through his first five games.

NASHVILLE, TN - Sharks forward Torrey Mitchell skated with the team in Nashville on Monday afternoon, but is questionable to play against the Predators on Tuesday night at Bridgestone Arena.
Check back for further news on Mitchell at some point tomorrow. Should he not be able to play, Benn Ferreiro will step into the lineup.

Injured forward Torrey Mitchell could be back in the lineup against the Predators after missing the Bruins game with upper body soreness. Mitchell fell awkwardly into the boards during the first minute of the New Jersey game after being elbowed to the head by Devils forward Nick Palmieri.

Devils right wing Nick Palmieri was assessed a two-minute minor for an illegal check to the head for a hit on Torrey Mitchell 59 seconds into the game. It looked like Palmieri connected with his shoulder. Mitchell was shaken up had to be helped off the ice. He has not returned.
Last season, Mitchell only played in 66 games and 56 the season before making him somewhat injury prone. With three assists through his first five games played, the right wing was off to one of his best starts. Stay tuned for a further update on the Sharks third liner.
