Hamonic returns to the Islanders blueline after serving his one-game suspension.

Hamonic was suspended for Sunday's game after getting an instigator penalty in the final five minutes of Saturday's loss. With Andrew MacDonald getting traded to the Flyers this afternoon, Hamonic will be leaned on heavily by the Islanders the rest of the season. Hamonic already averages close to 25 minutes a game, but MacDonald played the eighth most minutes in the NHL to this point.

Hamonic will sit out on Sunday vs. Florida and could potentially be suspended beyond the one game. Hamonic has 10 points (1G /9A) with a minus-4 rating while averaging close to 25 minutes in 49 games this season.

Hamonic has missed the last 12 games with a concussion but appears set to return to the Islanders lineup on Saturday. He will take part morning skate and a final decision will be made after that. He has one goal and eight assists with a minus-3 rating in 47 games this season.

Hamonic has missed the last eight games with a concussion, but is eligible to come off of IR and return to the lineup whenever he is able to play. He skated at Monday's morning skate, so he is expected to be close, however his placement on IR and the recall of Matt Donovan all but rules him out for Wednesday's Stadium Series game against the Rangers.

Hamonic who was evaluated for a possible concussion yesterday was back on the ice today. He was practicing on the Islanders top-pair and could be ready for Friday's season opener. Monitor his status throughout the week.

Travis Hamonic is being evaluated today for an undisclosed injury. There are reports that he is dealing with a shoulder injury but Arthur Staple of Newsday reports he is being tested for a concussion.

Hamonic is a key member of the Islanders blueline. With the season around the corner they are hoping this is not a long term injury. We will like get an update on Hamonic tomorrow. Monitor his status as the season draws near.

Hamonic has been arguably the Islanders best blueliner this season. This loss will hurt the Islanders and is unfortunate for fantasy owners who were excited about his good start to the season.
