ARLINGTON, Va. – The Washington Capitals have signed right wing Troy Brouwer to a two-year contract, vice president and general manager George McPhee announced today.

The Capitals have acquired the rights to forward Troy Brouwer from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for the 26th overall pick in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. The trade was first reported by the Chicago Tribune’s Chris Kuc.
Brouwer will be in the Game 1 lineup tonight. Quenneville didn't say who was coming out. Maybe Pisani? Just guessing. #blackhawks
