Ennis has missed the last two games, but will be back in the lineup tonight vs. the Maple Leafs. Ennis comes into play with two goals and three assists in his last six games prior to getting injured. With Ennis back in, Tim Schaller will be come out of the lineup.
There was some optimism that Ennis might be able to return tonight, but he is not on the ice for the pre-game skate, which suggests he will miss his second straight game.
Ennis will travel to Colorado but he is not expected to play tomorrow, so his next chance to return would be Monday in Arizona. However, with nothing left to play for, the Sabres will be ultra-cautious with Ennis.
Leaving Thursday’s game puts Ennis’ status for Saturday’s game in Colorado in doubt. Monitor his status heading into tomorrow.
Ennis showed up to the rink ill and the Sabres sent him home. Despite missing the morning skate the Sabres expect Ennis to be in the lineup tonight vs. Dallas.
Ennis has missed the last two games, but practiced on Monday and is expected to play tonight in Tampa Bay. With the Sabres just ripping their team apart, Ennis is the one of a few players who still have a little to offer in fantasy circles. He has 15 goals and 18 assists (33 points) in 61 games this season.
Ennis will miss his second straight game because of a lower-body injury that he suffered on Tuesday. He will skate in warmups because the afternoon game did not allow him to skate this morning.
Ennis left Tuesday’s game with a lower-body injury, but the injury is not serious, but will force him to miss at least one game. Monitor his status prior to Saturday’s game against the Panthers.
Ennis played his last shift late in the second period and did not return for the third. Coach Ted Nolan called Ennis’ injury “wear and tear” and that he could miss anywhere from a few days to a week.
Ennis, 24, had 21 goals and 22 assists (43 points) in 80 games with the Sabres last season. His 43 points were good for second on the team, but was somewhat of a down year after a strong season in lockout shortened year. The Sabres have beefed up their lineup this offseason, which should help the likes of Ennis and Cody Hodgson in 2014-15.

"He just tweaked a little something last night, nothing serious," said head coach Ted Nolan. Ennis scored a goal in 14:44 TOI last night and now has goals in back-to-back games. He has four goals and eight points in 23 games.
It appears as if Ennis (head) will be good to go for tomorrow when Buffalo plays Ottawa. Ennis will center Steve Ott and Leino who will play in his first game of the season.

Ennis was held out of yesterday's practice with an illness. The former 26th overall pick has missed most of the season with a high-ankle sprain but could provide a boost down the stretch.
