The Sabres have sent Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen to Rochester (AHL).
Luukkonen was called-up to serve as Aaron Dell's backup on Thursday but returns to the AHL to make room for Malcolm Subban.

The Sabres have recalled Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen from Rochester (AHL).
Luukkonen has gone 6-6-0 with a 3.42 GAA and .888 SV% in 12 games with Rochester this season. Dustin Tokarski was placed on the COVID-19 reserve list, so Luukkonen will likely back-up Aaron Dell tonight.
Luukkonen (lower-body) will miss the rest of the season.
Luukkonen suffered a lower-body injury in his fourth NHL appearance and will miss the final week of the 2021 season. Luukkonen will be targeting a full-time gig with the Sabres in 2021-22.
