Mete has been a healthy scratch for the last four games but will replace Brett Kulak tonight in Toronto. In his first two games, Mete was held pointless with a minus-2 rating in 16:14 ATOI.

After playing in his first two games of the season on Monday and Tuesday, Mete will be replaced by Alexander Romanov on Thursday. Mete could be back in on Saturday as the Canadiens have started a rotation on their third pairing.

Mete reportedly asked for a trade after sitting as a healthy scratch for the first eight games of the season. Mete will replace Brett Kulak and make his debut on the third pair with Alexander Romanov.

Mete has been a staple on the Habs' blueline over the last two seasons but following the addition of Joel Edmundson and promotion of Alexander Romanov, Mete will likely be the No.7 defenseman in Montreal in 2021. He has compiled four goals and 27 assists (31 points) in 171 career NHL games.

Mete was hurt in Detroit last Tuesday and will miss the rest of the 2020 season with a fractured foot. With Mete out, Karl Alzner has been recalled on an emergency basis and has played in the last two games.

Mete missed Tuesday's game in New Jersey with an illness but is expected to play vs. the Ducks. This is good news for the Canadiens, who announced they'll be without Shea Weber for at least one week this morning.

Mete stayed back at the team hotel and will miss Tuesday’s game in New Jersey. Christian Folin will take his spot on the blueline.

Mete has been out since December 1st but is expected to suit up in Winnipeg on Monday. Mete comes into play with three goals and five assists (eight points) in 26 games this season.

Mete will not play Saturday vs. the Red Wings but will travel to Western Canada with the team next week, suggesting he could play before the Christmas break. The Habs have gone 4-2-0 without Mete.

Mete was hurt on Saturday night, missed Sunday's game and will miss at least two weeks with an ankle injury. With Mete out, Gustav Olofsson is expected to remain with the Canadiens moving forward.

Mete was forced to leave Saturday's game against Philadelphia with a lower-body and did not return. Head coach Claude Julien told reporters postgame that Mete will not accompany the team to Boston, so look for Mike Reilly or Brett Kulak to draw into the lineup for him.

Mete has just four assists in 23 games this season and heads to Laval to clear a roster spot for Paul Byron to come off of IR. Mete will get an opportunity to play huge minutes in Laval but will likely return to Montreal in the near future.

Juulsen took part in the Canadiens’ morning skate but remains a game-time decision for Thursday’s game vs. the Capitals. If Juulsen plays, he is expected to replace Victor Mete.
