Tarasenko missed practice on Monday and was listed as questionable for tonight, but his participation in the morning skate suggests that he will be in the lineup. The Blues did not provide a definitive work on Tarasenko's status, so he will likely be a game-time decision.

Tarasenko has been sidelined since March 15th after undergoing surgery on a broken hand. He was expected to miss six weeks, but he will be back in the lineup two weeks ahead of schedule. Tarasenko tallied 21 goals and 22 assists in 64 games this season. He will skate on the second line with Vladimir Sobotka and Jaden Schwartz.

Tarasenko has not played since suffering an injury to his right hand in the final moments of a game at Nashville on March 15. Tarasenko, who had 21 goals this season, had a cast removed on Monday and skated without that protection for the first time on Tuesday. He looked good while shooting and handling pucks. “We'll see,” Tarasenko said, when asked how soon he could play. “I don't know yet. We'll see tomorrow.

Tarasenko will miss six weeks after undergoing surgery on his hand.

Tarasenko injured his right hand against Nashville over the weekend, will undergo surgery Wednesday. Tarasenko had a goal against the Predators, giving him six points during a five-game streak. The 22-year-old right wing is tied for second on the team with 21 goals. The Blues recalled forward Dmitrij Jaskin from the AHL on an emergency basis.

Tarasenko acknowledged he was worried, disappointed to miss Thursday’s game against Boston with the flu-like symptoms and fearful the illness might impact his Olympic experience. “Yeah, I was worried,” said Tarasenko, who has 18 goals and 15 assists. “It happens to everybody, but I wanted to get better as soon as possible.”

The Blues are in Detroit tonight, but they may be without Tarasenko who is currently fighting the flu. Tarasenko hasn't scored in his last four games but has totalled 15 goals and 14 assists (29 points) in 47 games this season. Adam Cracknell will draw into the lineup if Tarasenko can't play.

Hitch said McDonald & Tarasenko will be evaluated in the morning to see where they are, leaving the door open for possible return Saturday.

Tarasenko has been out for the last 10 games with a concussion. Concussion's are touchy so it his hard to put a timetable on his return. There is a chance that he could play tomorrow but consider him questionable at best.
