Zach Parise News
Parise (foot) could return on Thursday.

Parise has missed 13 games because of a broken foot, said he might begin ramping it up during Monday’s practice by taking contact and getting into more gamelike situations. “I’m just waiting for the green light to get him more involved in practice,” Wild head coach Mike Yeo said.

Parise (foot) skated with assistant coach Darby Hendrickson before the Wild's morning skate.

Parise will miss his 11th consecutive game tonight, but skating is a step in the right direction. There is still no firm timetable for Parise's return from the fractured foot, but Team USA is hoping that he will be ready for the Olympics.

The Wild have placed Zach Parise (lower-body) on injured reserve.

Parise has missed the last two games with what is thought to be a foot injury. Parise's placement on IR is retroactive to December 22 so he would be eligible to play in Tuesday's contest, but it sounds like he will be out longer than that. Parise showed that he can return earlier than expected before, so don't count on him missing games until he is officially ruled out.

Wild coach Mike Yeo called Parise day-to-day.

Day-to-day could potentially be a few weeks without its first-line left wing. Parise has clearly been hampered on the ice and in pain off of it, and my guess is he probably did further damage to the foot. Last time, it was recommended he miss two to three weeks. He missed one game. “If he’s not a game player, I want to keep him off the ice completely and give him a good chance to heal,” Yeo said.

Parise (lower-body) is not with the Wild in Winnipeg, so he obviously will not play tonight.

Parise will miss his second straight game tonight. He is believed to have aggravated a foot injury he was dealing with in November after blocking an Alex Steen shot on Sunday. Nino Niederreiter will shift to the Wild top line with Parise on the shelf.

There were rumors the past hour that Zach Parise would miss tonight's game against the Flyers. The Wild has just confirmed he has a lower-body injury.

This will be Parise's second game missed this season, the last with a foot injury that hasn't healed yet. I don't know if this is related. We'll have more from coach Mike Yeo after the game hopefully. Parise has one assist and is minus-7 on the 1-6-1 road slide. Justin Fontaine will draw into the lineup.

It sounds like the plan is for Zach Parise (foot) to play tonight, unless there is a setback in warmups.

Parise was expected to miss 2-3 weeks with a foot contusion, but almost played on Wednesday and could play tonight. The WIld will jump on the ice for warmups at 5:30 pm EST where we will find out for sure if Parise will play.

Parise (foot) will not play Wednesday.

Wild head coach Mike Yeo said that Parise will not play tonight. Parise thought that he would be able to play, but the pain just got worse as the skate went on. Parise said that his foot feels better skating than walking and that he does not want to put a timeline on his return, just take it day-by-day. Regardless, this has to be encouraging news for the Wild, as it appears that 2-3 weeks might be on the high-side - consider him questionable for Friday's contest vs. Colorado

Parise (foot) was on the ice this morning testing his foot and has now joined his teammates for the morning skate and is taking line rushes on the top-line with Mikko Koivu and Charlie Coyle.

Parise was reportedly going to miss 2-3 weeks with a foot contusion, but taking line rushes usually indicates a player who is going to play tonight. Could he be in the lineup tonight and miss no games? Hmm, wouldn't that be unbelievable? We will continue to monitor this situation.

Wild forward Zach Parise expected to miss 2-3 weeks with a left foot contusion.

Parise left Monday's game after blocking a slap shot. Parise remained in the game briefly before parting for the dressing room for the remainder of the night. He was re-evaluated this afternoon when they determined he would miss 2-3 weeks. This is a terrible break for the Wild who will lose their leading scorer for 8-11 games. Parise had 11 goals and 11 assists (22 points) in 25 games. The Wild have a lot of talented wingers who will see expanded roles with Parise sidelined.

Parise (foot) left Monday's game and did not return.

Parise returned briefly before retiring to the dressing room for good. The Wild has the day off Tuesday, so typically when that happens, injury updates aren’t revealed until the next availability, which will occur Wednesday morning. So we likely won't have an update on Parise's status until then.
