Despite taking part in Friday’s practice, he was held off of the ice this morning and will not play tonight vs. the Capitals. Jonathan Bernier will start and Garret Sparks has been recalled to serve as the backup.

Bishop turned aside all 30 shots that he faced in the Lightning’s 5-0 shutout win over the Ducks. From Oct 27-Nov 7, Bishop lost five in a row, but he has won three of his last four while posting a 1.47 GAA and .943 SV%. Tonight he will face a Kings team at home, where he has gone 5-3-1 with a 2.00 GAA and .926 SV% in nine starts at Amalie Arena.

Reimer was on the ice for about 25 minutes before heading to the dressing room following a brief discussion with the trainer. Reimer has been red-hot and if he were to miss time it would be devastating for the Leafs’ recent hot streak. Toronto doesn’t play until Saturday, so expect him to be reevaluated in the next few days.

He has allowed a single goal in his last three games and will face the Bruins again tonight. Reimer has gone 3-2-2 with a 2.42 GAA and .929 SV% at home this season.
