Levi has been tremendous since re-joining the Sabres after a brief stint in the AHL, allowing two or fewer goals in all four games (3-0-1) and sporting a marvellous .942 SV%. Levi will start on Tuesday in a favourable matchup against the Columbus Blue Jackets, as the Sabres are sizeable -181 home favourites against a team that has lost five of their last seven contests (2-4-1). Levi will have started five of seven games for the Sabres since being recalled and is clearly the favourite between the pipes for the Sabres coaching staff.

Jacob Bryson has cleared waivers and is expected to be reassigned to Rochester (AHL).

Bryson has spent most of the season from the press box, regularly as a healthy scratch for the Sabres, and has been placed on unconditional waivers. After appearing in 59 games in the 2022-23 campaign, Bryson has been limited to only three games this season.

Jack Quinn (achilles) will make his season debut Tuesday vs. Columbus.

Before the start of the season, Quinn was scheduled to return around Christmas and the 22-year-old will do so on Tuesday against the Columbus Blue Jackets as he completes his recovery from Achilles surgery. Quinn had a solid rookie season, scoring 14 goals with 23 assists (37 points) in 75 games. At practice on Monday, he skated on a line with Tage Thompson and Zach Benson.

The 25-year-old left-winger has only appeared in one game this for the Sabres after making his way back to the NHL for the first time since 2021-22.

With the news that Carter Hart (illness) will be out Thursday vs. Washington, Felix Sandstrom was recalled from Lehigh Valley (AHL) on an emergency basis and will backup Samuel Ersson. The 26-year-old has struggled mightily this season in the AHL, with a 2-1-2 record, 3.32 GAA and .871 SV%.

Murray has been recalled from the Rochester Americans of the AHL as Jeff Skinner has been placed on the injured reserve with an upper-body injury. The 25-year-old Murray has seven points (2G / 5A) and a -7 plus/minus rating in 12 games with Rochester this season.

Luukkonen led the Sabres onto the ice for warmups.

Luukkonen has not played since Dec. 3rd due to an illness but was back in the starter's crease Wednesday at Buffalo's morning skate. The 24-year-old has taken over the starting job for the Sabres due to his strong 6-5-1 start to go along with his 2.81 GAA and .907 SV%. He will head to Colorado to take on the Avalanche, who won their last game in a thrilling 6-5 victory and are fourth in the NHL in goals peer game (3.54).

Murray appeared in only one game for the Sabres and played 10:47 TOI but will return to Rochester (AHL) as Alex Tuch (lower body) returns from the Injured Reserve. The 25-year-old defensemen returns to the AHL, where he had two goals, five assist, 11 PIMs and a -7 plus/minus in 12 games prior to his promotion.
