Luukkonen will start Thursday vs. the Islanders.

Luukkonen allowed three goals on 33 shots (.909 SV%) as he picked up his second defeat in three games as he was downed by Florida in his last start. The 23-year-old netminder has a great record at 10-5-1 but has struggled to stop the puck in general, as shown by his 3.41 GAA and .897 SV%. He faces the New York Islanders, who have been on a tough run as of late, losing six of their last seven games after a 4-1 loss to Boston last game.

Georgiev will start Wednesday in Calgary.

Georgiev allowed five goals on 37 shots (.892 SV%) as he lost his sixth start in seven games after a defeat to Florida his last time out. The 26-year-old has been solid despite his recent struggles as of late, shown by his 16-11-3 record, .914 SV% and 2.75 GAA. He will face the Calgary Flames, who lost their previous game vs. Nashville 2-1 but are third in the NHL in shots per game (35.0).

Norris (shoulder) will return to the Senators lineup on Wednesday.

Norris has been sidelined since October 22nd but will be back on the second line with Alex DeBrincat and Claude Giroux on Wednesday. Giroux is expected to take the face-offs, but Norris provides a massive offensive boost to the Senators, who averaged 4.2 goals per game in the five games Norris played earlier in the season.

The Sabres reassigned Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen to Rochester (AHL).

Buffalo continues to shuffle their lineup around so that they can carry three goalies, this is once again nothing more than a paper transaction. Luukkonen should remain with the team and could start Tuesday in Chicago. Look for Craig Anderson to start Monday vs. the Panthers.

The Sabres recalled Peyton Krebs from Rochester (AHL).

The Sabres' roster shuffle continues as they try to carry three goalies, so Krebs comes back up and Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen goes to the AHL to make room. Krebs will likely draw into the lineup and return to his usual role on the fourth line. Krebs has picked up three goals and six assists (nine points) in 34 games this season.

Peyton Krebs
Jack Quinn has been recalled from Rochester (AHL).

Quinn has been having a solid rookie season, with six goals, 17 points, 50 SOG, and a +4 plus/minus through 33 games with the Sabres but was sent down to Rochester earlier in the week as a paper move due to the three healthy goaltender situation in Buffalo. He is back up with the big club and expected to stay for the remained of the year.

Peyton Krebs has been loaned to Rochester (AHL).

Krebs has three goals, six assists, 29 SOG, 23 PIMs and a -3 plus/minus through 34 games with the Sabres' but will head down to Rochester as a paper transaction on loan. Krebs should be back up with the Sabres sooner rather than later as he is not expected to stay in the minors long.

Luukkonen will start Thursday vs. the Jets.

Luukkonen has had a busy week of being sent down and then recalled after winning his previous start for a sixth straight win by stopping 39 of 44 shots (.886 SV%) as he defeated Minnesota his last time out. The 23-year-old has an impressive 9-3-1 record, but a not-so-pretty 3.49 GAA and .894 SV%. He will face Winnipeg, who just snapped a five-game winning streak with a 7-5 loss to Detroit on Wednesday.

The Sabres have recalled Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen from Rochester (AHL).

Luukkonen was scheduled to start on Tuesday but was unavailable due to illness, recalling him this morning suggests that he's feeling better and is in line to start Thursday. With Luukkonen coming up, Jack Quinn was loaned to the AHL, but that's likely just a paper transaction to make room for Luukkonen.

Georgiev starts Tuesday vs. the Panthers.

Georgiev stopped 28 of 30 shots (.933 SV%) to snap a five-game losing streak as he beat Edmonton in his previous start. The 26-year-old has been solid for most of his first season in Colorado, with his 16-10-3 record, 2.67 GAA and .916 SV%. He will take on the Florida Panthers, who lost to Dallas 5-1 their last time out but are 2nd in the NHL in shots per game (35.7).
