Joey Anderson (shoulder) has been placed on the Injured Reserve.

Anderson played 13 straight games for the Blackhawks but suffered a shoulder injury in yesterday's contest against the Vancouver Canucks and has been placed on the injured reserve. He has five points (0G / 5A) while averaging 13:21 time-on-ice through 13 games this season.

Arvid Soderblom will start Thursday at Seattle.

Soderblom will likely start on Thursday and hope to rebound after allowing four goals on 27 shots (.852 SV%) in a 4-2 loss to the Washington Capitals in his last start. The Blackhawks have struggled in all facets this season, but Soderblom has easily been the weaker of two goalies, recording only two of the team's nine wins and posting an ugly 3.66 GAA and .882 SV%. Soderblom and the Blackhawks will see one of their better matchups this season on Thursday but are still +207 road underdogs against the Seattle Kraken, who rank fourth-worst in the league offensively (2.57 GF / GP) and have lost eight of their last nine games (1-6-2).

Alec Martinez (lower body) was caught at Vegas' practice Thursday in a non-contact jersey.

Martinez has not played since November 19th due to a lower-body injury but appears to be nearing a return, making his first appearance at a Golden Knights practice in a non-contact jersey. Before his injury, Martinez was averaging 19:21 time-on-ice through 14 games and had four points (3G / 1A) and 46 blocks.

Sanford will draw into the lineup in Pittsburgh on Tuesday.

Sanford will play in Pittsburgh on Tuesday after being recalled by the Coyotes earlier in the day. He's played one game with the Coyotes earlier this season, recording one point (0G / 1A), but has spent most of his time with the Tuscon Roadrunners of the AHL, where he has four points (1G / 3A) in 16 games.

Laurent Brossoit will start Tuesday in San Jose.

Brossoit was excellent in his last start just over a week ago, saving 42 of 43 shots (.977 SV%) in a 2-1 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes and will likely return to the crease on Tuesday. Brossoit has had an up-and-down season, posting a 2.65 GAA and .903 SV% through six games (3-2-1), but will have a favourable matchup as the Jets are -200 road favourites against a San Jose Sharks team that scored five or more goals in four straight games (2-1-1).

Ryan Donato (illness) will return to the Blackhawks' lineup Tuesday vs. Edmonton.

Reese Johnson will be a healthy scratch on Tuesday as Donato is ready to return from an illness. Donato did not play the last two games and has zero points in his last five games while firing seven shots on goal.
