The 2020 1st-round pick (17th overall) had played in one game previously this season with Chicago, picking up a -1 plus/minus across 13:58 TOI.

Knight allowed four goals on 34 shots (.882 SV%) for his third-straight loss in a defeat to Carolina in his last start. The 21-year-old has struggled as of late which has led to his 8-6-3 record, 3.00 GAA and .907 SV%. He faces the Arizona Coyotes, who rank last in the NHL in shots per game (24.8) but 26th in goals per game (2.89).

In 21 games with the Marlies previously he had 11 goals, eight assists, six PIMs and a +1 plus/minus.


Lafferty has three goals, five assists, 33 SOG, 13 PIMs and is a -7 plus/minus through 27 games but will be a game-time decision Thursday vs. St. Louis as he battles a non-Covid related illness.

Martinez left the Golden Knights' previous game after just 6:20 TOI due to a lower-body injury and will not play Wednesday vs. Anaheim. The 35-year-old has five assists, 33 SOG, 14 PIMs and a +6 plus/minus through 37 games prior to the injury.

Knight hasn't played since Dec. 6th due to illness but will draw the start Monday after a 13 day absence. The 21-year-old was playing very well prior to his unfortunate illness, taking majority of the Panthers' starts due to his 8-4-3 record, 2.64 GAA and .919 SV%. He draws a tough comeback start as he takes on the Boston Bruins, who are coming off a 4-2 win over Columbus and hold the leagues best record.

Soderblom will head back down to Rockford (AHL) after it was announced Monday that Alex Stalock will be returning to the Blackhawks from a concussion. The 23-year-old rookie struggled as he filled in for injuries for the last few months, with a 2-10-2 record, 3.45 GAA and .894 SV% in 15 games with Chicago.



Soderblom stopped 29 of 32 shots (.906 SV%) but still managed to pick up his seventh straight loss as he took on Winnipeg in his previous start. The rookie netminder has been hung out to dry this season, posting a 2-8-2 record, .906 SV% and 3.18 GAA. He will face the Vegas Golden Knights, who are first in the Pacific Division after winning their last game 6-5 over Winnipeg.

Knight missed the Panthers' previous game due to illness as Alex Lyon replaced him on Florida's bench. He will return to the team Thursday after practising Wednesday. The 21-year-old has been sensational when healthy, with his 8-4-3 record, 2.64 GAA, and .919 SV%.


Soderblom allowed three goals on 29 shots (.897 SV%) as he picked up his sixth straight loss in a defeat to New Jersey in his last start. The rookie has had an up-and-down first season in Chicago's crease, with a 2-7-2 record, .905 SV% and 3.19 GAA. He draws the tough task of the Winnipeg Jets who are 1st in the Central Division and have won three straight games scoring five goals.

Lafferty has missed Chicago's previous six games due to a back injury but will return Friday as he is feeling ready to go. The 27-year-old had three goals, four assists, 11 PIMs and 26 SOG in 19 games prior to his injury.

With the news Friday that Nick Robertson will miss some time due to injury Joey Anderson has been called upon from the Toronto Marlies (AHL). Anderson has had a very solid campaign in the minors prior to his promotion with 11 goals, 19 points, six PIMs and a +1 plus/minus through 21 games.
