

Martinez was on the ice for Monday's practice but will not return to the lineup on Tuesday. The Golden Knights could have used him, with Zach Whitecloud out and Nic Hague as a game-time decision.

Khudobin was recalled directly to the active roster, bypassing the taxi squad, suggesting that Jake Oettinger or Braden Holtby will be unavailable on Tuesday. Khudobin has gone 2-4-0 with a 2.55 GAA and .903 SV% in six AHL games this season.




Athanasiou has not played since December 14th but will play Thursday vs. the Islanders. Athanasiou will likely replace Carl Grundstrom in the lineup and comes in with six points (3G / 3A) in 11 games.



Foligno suffered an upper-body injury midway though Monday's loss to the Ducks. He will not travel on their upcoming three-game road trip, so Jesper Froden was recalled and will join the team.

Teravainen missed Saturday's game in New Jersey but has been on the ice for Monday's practice and Tuesday's morning skate, but remains a game-time decision for tonight's game vs. Vegas. Monitor Teravainen's status when the Hurricanes hit the ice for warmups at 6:30 PM ET.



Foligno missed the last five games with a lower-body injury but will play Thursday vs. the Capitals. Foligno, who has just six points (1G / 5A) in 23 games this season, will replace Oskar Steen on the third line.

Jones missed four games while in COVID-19 protocol but he's now on track to return to the lineup vs. the Wild on Friday.

With Braden Holtby back from COVID-19 protocol, Khudobin returns to the taxi squad. Holtby and Jake Oettinger will serve as the Stars' goaltending duo moving forward.

As expected, Reichel only got a couple of games with the Blackhawks and is headed back for the AHL. The 2020 first-round pick has scored 11 goals with nine assists (20 points) in 20 games with Rockford this season.


Reichel was the No.17 overall pick in 2020 and is set to make his NHL debut on Thursday. Reichel will start his NHL career on the top line with Patrick Kane after posting 20 points (11G / 9A) in 20 AHL games. Reichel is only expected to play in two games before he heads back to the AHL to continue his development.
