Parise has not quite progressed how the Wild thought he would and he will likely sit for the fourth straight game. It is a shame, because a contest vs. the Sabres would have been the perfect way to ease him back into the lineup. Monitor his status in the morning skate.

Parise will miss his third straight game with a concussion, which means he won’t get to face his former team tonight in New Jersey. He skated again this morning which is obviously a good sign. Monitor his status leading up to Thursday’s game vs. the Sabres.

The Wild return home vs. the Sabres on Thursday, so traveling with the team will allow Parise to practice on Tuesday and could potentially be ready to play on Thursday back in Minnesota.

Parise has missed the last two games with a concussion he suffered last Tuesday vs. the Penguins. It is hard to pinpoint a return when you are dealing with concussions, but it is a good sign that he is back on the ice this morning. The Wild have four games this week and there is a chance he could be back for the back-to-back this weekend.

Nichushkin just returned to the Stars lineup for two games, but will not play tonight and will stay off of the ice for two or three days to rest his nagging groin/hip injury. With Nichushkin out again, the Stars recalled Curtis McKenzie.

A three-game road trip starts tomorrow in Ottawa and it will start without Parise. He suffered an upper-body injury last night vs. the Penguins and it sounds like he will miss at least the next three games. He could always join the team on the trip but for now he is day-to-day. With Parise out, Thomas Vanek skated on the top-line.

Nichushkin was listed as a game-time decision but is on the ice, taking line rushes with Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin. He missed the last nine games, but should be able to produce right away, as long as he is playing on that top line.

Nichushkin skated on the Stars top line in practice this morning, so it looks like he will be in the lineup tonight, but we won't know until pre-game warmups at 8 p.m ET.
