The Devils signed Severson to an eight-year deal worth $50.0 million ($6.25M AAV) and traded him to Columbus for the Flames' third-round pick (No.80 overall) in this year's draft. Over the last two seasons, Severson is tied for 32nd among defensemen in goals (18) and tied for 37th in points (79).

Pyyhtia had three goals in six games with Cleveland (AHL) after coming over from TPS (Liiga) earlier in the season and will make his NHL debut Thursday vs. Pittsburgh. The 21-year-old was Columbus' 2020 fourth-round pick (114th overall).

Knazko had a goal, 20 assists, 17 PIMs and a -13 plus/minus through 49 games this season with Cleveland (AHL) and is expected to make his NHL debut Thursday. The 20-year-old was the Blue Jackets' 2020 third-round pick (78th overall).

Jenner was a late scratch Tuesday after warmups due to a lower-back injury and will now be out for the Blue Jackets' remaining two games of the 2022-23 season. The 29-year-old puts a lid on one of his most productive seasons to date statistically, as he had 26 goals, 45 points, 214 SOG, 51 PIMs and a -32 plus/minus through 68 games played prior to the injury.
