Simek has been sidelined by an upper-body injury since February 13th but is expected to replace either Nicolas Meloche or Frederik Claesson in the Sharks lineup on Saturday. Simek has two assists, five shots and a minus-2 rating in 11 games this season.
Campbell has been out since January 24th with a leg injury but will accompany the team out west. Campbell told reporters that he’s “feeling good and ready to go,” so it sounds like he could stat Saturday in Edmonton. In two starts this season, Campbell has gone 2-0-0 while stopping 48 of 52 shots (.923 SV%).
Tarasenko skated on a line with Brayden Schenn in Friday’s practice, indicating that he’s getting very close to making his season debut. The Blues start a six-game road trip on Saturday in San Jose and it goes until Monday, March 8th, so look for Tarasenko to debut sometime in the next week.
Talbot was on the ice for Friday's practice but head coach Dean Evason said he'll need another before he starts for the Wild. With Talbot still not ready, Kaapo Kahkonen will continue to start and Dereck Baribeau will backup in Anaheim.
Lagesson was forced to leave Monday's game vs. the Jets with an upper-body injury after playing just 6:47 TOI. Either Kris Russell or Caleb Jones will draw back into the lineup to replace Lagesson on Wednesday.
Rimek left Saturday's game after a cross-check to the ribs and was moved to IR on Sunday. With Simek out on Monday, look for Nicholas Meloche to draw into the lineup.
With Zack Kassian out week-to-week with an upper-body injury, Chiasson will play Tuesday vs. the Senators. Chiasson was a healthy scratch for the last two games but re-enters the lineup with no points, six shots and a minus-4 rating in seven games this season.
Talbot allowed three goals on 25 shots in the Wild's overtime win over the Avalanche on Sunday. It was a solid return to the crease for the veteran netminder, who missed the previous four games with a lower-body issue. On Tuesday he'll be looking for another win over the Avalanche, who will be without Nathan MacKinnon.
Fischer will miss the first game of the Coyotes road-trip due to an undisclosed injury. With Fischer out, John Hayden will likely draw back into the lineup, presumably in a fourth-line role.
