Kane (undisclosed) will be out vs. the Islanders on Monday and is considered day-to-day.

Kane is battling an undisclosed ailment that has prevented him from practicing the last couple of days and will not play on Monday against the New York Islanders. The 36-year-old future Hall of Famer has struggled this season, scoring only 10 points (3G / 7A) through 20 games. Joe Veleno will draw into the lineup as his replacement.

Patrick Kane
Lyon will start on Monday in New York.

The Red Wings, limited to only scoring three goals in their previous two games (1-1-0), will turn to Lyon between the pipes on Monday against the New York Islanders. The 31-year-old Lyon was stellar in his last outing, saving 22 of 23 shots (.957 SV%) in a 2-1 win over the Islanders, and has been serviceable all season, posting a 2.85 GAA and .908 SV% in eight appearances (3-4-0). The Red Wings enter the action on Monday as +144 road underdogs against an Islanders team they have limited to only one goal in two contests (2-0-0).

Holl will draw back into Detroit's lineup on Saturday vs. Boston.

Holl was a healthy scratch for Detroit's previous contest but will draw back into the lineup on Saturday vs. Boston. The 32-year-old stay-at-home defensemen has done little to contribute offensively this season, with one asssist, four SOG and a +1 plus/minus in 12 games played.

Justin Holl
Talbot will start vs. Boston on Saturday.

The Red Wings snapped a three-game losing skid in their previous out with Alex Lyon in the net but will revert to Talbot on Saturday against the Boston Bruins. The 37-year-old Talbot has been solid this season, posting a 2.67 GAA and .920 SV% in 11 appearances (5-3-2). The Red Wings will host a Bruins club that has scored only six goals in their previous four games (1-2-1).

Cam Talbot
Johansson will draw back into the Red Wings' lineup on Thursday vs. New York.

Justin Holl will be a healthy scratch on Thursday, allowing Johansson to re-enter the lineup. The 23-year-old Johansson, the 60th overall pick of the Red Wings in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, is averaging 14:20 time-on-ice and has zero points in nine games this season.

Albert Johansson
Lyon will start vs. New York on Thursday.

The Red Wings have been giving up a plethora of goals lately, outscored 15-9 in their previous three games (0-2-1) and will turn to Lyon between the pipes on Thursday against the New York Islanders. The 28-year-old Lyon has had an up-and-down 2024-25 campaign, posting a 3.14 GAA and .903 SV% in seven games (2-4-0).

Talbot will start in San Jose on Monday.

The Wings will turn to Talbot for the 11th time this season when they travel to San Jose to take on the Sharks on Monday. Talbot was unfortunate to get tagged with the loss his last time out, allowing just three goals on 40 shots as Detroit suffered a 4-1 defeat at the hands of the Kings on Saturday. The 37-year-old netminder has been outstanding this season, posting a .927 SV% and a 5-3-1 record across ten appearances. Talbot's got a great chance of getting back in the win column on Monday as the Red Wings enter action as -150 favourites over the Sharks.

Rasmussen (upper-body) will be a game-time decision in San Jose on Monday.

Rasmussen did not play on Saturday due to an upper-body injury but could be an option to return to the lineup on Monday night against the San Jose Sharks. The 25-year-old Rasmussen is averaging 12:24 time-on-ice and has four points (2G / 2A) in 16 games this season.
