Sharks defenseman Jason Demers won’t play on Saturday against Phoenix, possibly suffering from the effects of an apparent hit to the head from Detroit’s Cory Emmerton on Thursday.

Demers was not at the Sharks’ morning skate. “Not feeling good today, won’t play tonight,” head coach Todd McLellan said. He is not a fantasy relevant player having scored just one goal in 15 games this season.

Mike Smith will go again tonight in goal for the #Coyotes, per goalie coach Sean Burke.

Smith was pulled last night vs. the Kings after giving up four goals on 22 shots. He will be back between the pipes tonight vs. the Kings again. The Coyotes have yet to score a goal in three games on their current road trip. Smith is a good goalie, but he needs some help from his team if he is going to pick up wins on a consistent basis.
