Pickard will start Tuesday vs. the Canadiens.

Pickard allowed two goals on 25 shots in Colorado’s win over the Jets on Saturday. It was a nice game for Pickard, who has just eight wins in 23 starts this season. Pickard struggled in his first start vs. Montreal—he was pulled after allowing four goals on 20 shots in just 27 minutes of play.

Smith allowed four goals on 26 shots in the Coyotes’ loss to the Blackhawks on Thursday. Smith followed up a three-game winning streak with back-to-back losses while allowing a combined seven goals on 65 shots (.892 SV%). Smith has gone 1-0-1 with a 1.97 GAA and .954 SV% in his first two starts vs. the Sharks.

With Spencer Martin struggling on Wednesday, they will go back to Pickard this afternoon. He has yet to face the Jets and is just 2-7-1 with a 3.32 GAA and .893 SV% on home ice.

Smith allowed three goals on 39 shots in the Coyotes’ loss to the Kings on Tuesday. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for Smith, who will make his 32nd start of the season tonight. He is 8-8-2 with a 2.73 GAA and .921 SV% in 18 starts on home-ice, but will be in tough against the Blackhawks.

Smith stopped all 19 shots that he faced in the Coyotes’ shutout win over the Canucks last Thursday. Smith has won three straight games while registering a 1.66 GAA, .946 SV% and one shutout. Fresh off of an All-Star nod, Smith will start tonight vs. the Kings—he allowed four goals on 33 shots in a 4-3 loss in his first start vs. Los Angeles.

Pickard allowed three goals on 41 shots in Colorado’s loss vs. the Canucks last Wednesday. With Semyon Varlamov out for the rest of the season, Pickard will get a chance to be their No.1 and comes into Tuesday with a 5-6-0 record, 2.71 GAA and .918 SV%. He faced the Ducks a few weeks ago and allowed two goals on 36 shots in a 2-1 loss.

Smith surrendered two goals on 25 shots in the Coyotes win over the Panthers on Monday. Smith has now won two in a row and three of his last five, but remains a borderline fantasy option in standard leagues. Tonight he’ll take on a Canucks team that he has gone 0-2-0 with a 4.84 GAA and .829 SV% against so far this season.

It was a strong outing for Smith, who has been peppered all season long and even though he stopped 45 shots, he’s now allowed at least three goals in 11 of his last 12 starts. He has faced an average of 31.2 shots per game and posted a .890 SV% over that span.

The 34-year-old has allowed three or more goals in nine of his last 10 starts and shouldn’t be considered a strong fantasy option right now.

The Maple Leafs have reclaimed Seth Griffith off of waivers from Florida and sent him to Toronto (AHL).

Griffith picked up five assists in 21 games with the Panthers after being claimed from Toronto earlier in the year. The 24-year-old has great hands, but the consensus seems to be that he doesn’t have the speed to be a regular NHLer. Griffith will head to the AHL—he had 77 points (24G / 53A) in 57 AHL games with Providence last season.

Pickard allowed one goal on 36 shots in Colorado’s win over the Islanders on December 6th. Semyon Varlamov started the last three games, but will be shut down through the All Star break, so Pickard gets the nod Thursday in Anaheim. Tonight the will face a Ducks team that has won four of their last five (4-0-1) and sit at the top of the Pacific Division.

Smith has allowed three-plus goals in eight of his last nine starts while allowing a combined 23 goals on 291 shots (.890 SV%). Smith has gone 3-5-3 with a 2.72 GAA and .920 SV% on the road this season and he’ll face a Jets team that has lost four in a row.

Smith allowed three goals on 37 shots in the Coyotes win over the Jets on Friday. Louis Domingue started on Saturday, but Smith will be back in goal tonight in Edmonton. He has gone 2-1-0 with a 1.97 GAA and .938 SV% in his first three starts against the Oilers of the 2016-17 season.
