Perry was taken to a local hospital to be evaluated after leaving Monday’s game with a lower-body injury.

The Ducks were unable to provide an update on Perry’s status postgame but they can’t seem to get out of their own way. The Ducks just got Ryan Getzlaf back yesterday and they played just 3:49 TOI together before Perry exited the game. Expect an update on Perry’s status prior to Thursday’s game in St. Louis.

Corey Perry
Smith will start Saturday vs. the Canucks.

Smith allowed one goal on 29 shots in the Flames 2-1 loss in Toronto on Wednesday. David Rittich gave him the night off on Thursday, so Smith gets back in the crease tonight vs. the Canucks. Smith was good on Wednesday, but has now lost three in a row while allowing a combined 11 goals on 77 shots (.857 SV%). Smith has gone 1-1-0 with a 3.58 GAA and .860 SV% in two starts against the Canucks this season.

Smith will start Saturday vs. the Oilers.

Smith stopped all 28 shots that he faced in the Flames shutout win over the Coyotes on Thursday. You had to expect a great performance out of the Smith against the team he spent over half a decade with and he delivered with his 12th win and second shutout on the young campaign. Tonight will be his second battle of Alberta and he was great in the first meeting, stopping 42 of 44 shots in a 3-0 shutout loss on opening night.

Henrique will make his Ducks debut on Friday.

After being acquired from the Devils on Thursday, Henrique will draw right into the Ducks lineup tonight. The Ducks did not do line rushes at their morning skate so there is no word who he will play with in his debut. Head coach Randy Carlyle did add that Henrique will see some power play time but wasn’t sure if he’ll use him on the penalty kill right away.

Adam Henrique
Smith will start against his former team on Thursday.

Smith allowed three goals on 29 shots in the Flames loss to the Maple Leafs on Tuesday. Smith has lost his last three starts while allowing a combined nine goals on 110 shots (.918 SV%). Tonight he will start a huge game against an Arizona team that he played for for the last six years. Smith is always a solid daily fantasy play because of the amount of shots he faces, but he’s especially good tonight.

The Ducks have acquired Adam Henrique, Joseph Blandisi and a 2018 3rd round pick from the Devils for Sami Vatanen and a conditional draft pick.

The Ducks are extremely thin at centre with Ryan Getzlaf and Ryan Kesler both sidelined with injuries, so adding Henrique will help them down the middle immediately. Henrique is two years removed from 30 goals and 20 assists (50 points) and has registered four goals and 10 assists (14 points) in 24 games this season. He was averaging 18:15 TOI/GM with the Devils and could see even more playing time in Anaheim while Getzlaf and Kesler are out. He is an interesting waiver add as he should see top line minutes alongside Corey Perry and should see plenty of PP time as well.

Smith will start Tuesday vs. the Maple Leafs.

Smith allowed five goals on 40 shots in the Flames’ loss in Dallas last Friday. David Rittich got his first start on Saturday, giving Smith some additional rest heading into tonight’s game vs. Toronto. The 35-year-old has gone 5-5-0 with a 3.05 GAA and .902 SV% on home ice this season.

Smith will start Wednesday in Columbus.

Smith allowed one goal on 30 shots in the Flames win in Washington on Monday. Smith has won his first two starts of the Flames road trip and now heads to Columbus with a 6-1-0 record, 1.97 GAA and .946 SV% away from Calgary this season. However, he will have a tough time getting goal support with Sergei Bobrovsky like in the other net.
