Koekkoek, 21, was the Lightning’s first-round pick (10th overall) in 2012. He has registered 24 points (5G / 19A) in his first season with Syracuse. With Victor Hedman’s status for Tuesday still in question, Koekkoek could be making his NHL debut in Toronto—which is just four hours from his hometown of Winchester, Ontario.

On Saturday he goes up against a Penguins team who have lost six of their last seven, but who might get Evgeni Malkin back in the lineup this afternoon.

Murray has missed the last two games and will miss his third straight game on Tuesday. There is no doubting Murray’s talent, but he has only appeared in 10 games this season and has missed 50.6% of games in his first two seasons in the NHL. He is listed as day-to-day.

So yeah, all these losses are not Smith’s fault, but hey they were earlier so…Tonight will be his third start of the year against Vancouver—he has gone 1-1-0 with a 4.15 GAA and .867 SV% in the first two.

Arvidsson, 21, currently leads the Admirals, is tied for the AHL rookie lead, and tied for 10th among all AHL skaters with 51 points (20G / 31A) while playing in all 63 of the team’s games this season.
Murray will not play tonight because he is "banged up" according to Todd Richards. Cody Golubef will draw back in for Columbus.

Murray has been out for five weeks because of a high-ankle sprain, but the 2012 second overall pick will get back into the lineup tonight vs. the Oilers. Murray has just one assist in seven games this season.
Pickard was pulled after allowing three goals on eight shots in the Avs’ loss to the Kings on Tuesday. With Semyon Varlamov back last night, Pickard has been sent back to Lake Erie.

Colorado’s starter Semyon Varlamov was injured late in Sunday’s game, so they have recalled Pickard as a precaution for Tuesday’s game. Varlamov will take part in the morning skate and then the Avs will make a decision whether he will play or not. If he can’t, expect Pickard to get the call over Reto Berra. Perry wound up on the third line late in Friday’s game against the Penguins and head coach Bruce Boudreau will stick with it tonight in Vancouver. Perry comes in with four goals and one assist in his last five games. He will skate with Jiri Sekac and Rickard Rakell.
