Jesper Boqvist is expected to be a healthy scratch Thursday for Game 2.

Boqvist played 10:19 TOI in Game 1, picking up one SOG across 16 shifts but will be a healthy scratch as he takes a seat for Yegor Sharangovich ahead of Game 2. The 24-year-old closed out his regular season with 10 goals, 11 assists, 67 SOG and a +8 plus/minus through 70 games and will hope to draw back into the lineup soon.

Vanecek allowed four goals on 22 shots (.818 SV%) for a Game 1 loss as he was downed 5-1 by the New York Rangers. The 27-year-old had an incredibly strong first season in New Jersey, with his 33-11-4 record, 2.45 GAA and .911 SV%. He will hope for better fortunes in Game 2, as New York was 12th in the NHL in goals per game (3.33) and had the seventh-best powerplay in the NHL (24.1).

Sam Bennett will return to the Panthers' lineup for Game 2 (undisclosed).

Bennett has been out since March 20th due to an undisclosed injury and made a welcomed return sight as he skated with Florida's regulars on Wednesday and will return to the Panthers' lineup for Game 2. The 26-year-old had a solid regular season, with his 16 goals, 24 assists, 193 SOG, 54 PIMs and +5 plus/minus through 63 games.

Kaapo Kahkonen will start Wednesday vs. Calgary.

Kahkonen allowed four goals on 19 shots (.789 SV%) for his 12th loss in 13 games as he was handed the loss by the Colorado Avalanche Wednesday. The 26-year-old has had a historically bad season in 2022-23, with his 9-19-7 record, 3.90 GAA and .879 SV%. He takes on the Calgary Flames, who have lost three of their last four games but are second in the NHL in shots per game (35.8).

Tomas Nosek will be a game-time decision Thursday vs. Montreal (illness).

Nosek has seven goals, 11 assists, 69 SOG, 48 PIMs and a +9 plus/minus through 66 games this season but will be a game-time decision Thursday vs. Montreal due to illness. The 30-year-old tied his career high in points (30 pts) with a two-point performance in the Bruins' last game.

The 22-year-old returns to the Los Angeles Kings, where he has an assist, six PIMs and a +1 plus/minus through 10 games with the Kings during his previous call up.
