Sergei Bobrovsky starts vs. Detroit on Thursday.

Bobrovsky stopped 14 of 15 shots (.933 SV%) in relief his previous time out picking up no result vs. Winnepeg. The 34-year-old has been uncharacteristically horrendous this season, posting. 4-6-1 record, 3.72 GAA, and .880 SV%. HE takes on the Detroit Red Wings, who have won their last two games after beating Tampa 4-2 in their last game.

Nico Sturm will return to the Sharks' lineup Wednesday (concussion).

Sturm hasn't played since Nov. 19th due to a concussion but will return Wednesday as the Sharks take on Vancouver. The 27-year-old had been enjoying his best season to date prior to the injury with six goals and eight points through 20 GP.

A.J. Greer will be a healthy scratch Wednesday vs. Colorado

Greer heads to the press box as a healthy scratch yet again Wednesday as Boston takes on Colorado. The 25-year-old will not get the chance to play against his old team after having three goals, seven points and 20 SOG through 19 games played this season.

Kaapo Kahkonen will start Wednesday vs. Vancouver.

Kahkonen allowed five goals on 39 shots (.872 SV%) as he picked up his third loss in four starts in a loss to Ottawa. The Sharks' backup has struggled mightily this season, with a 3-6-2 record, 3.57 GAA and .882 SV%. He draws the Vancouver Canucks who are coming off the most exciting game yet with a 7-6 comeback victory over Montreal in their previous contest.

New Jersey has proven the perfect fit for Vanceck, as shown by his 11-2-1 record, 2.24 GAA and .918 SV%. He draws a great matchup in Chicago, who have lost nine of their last ten games.

Svechnikov was a healthy scratch for the Sharks' win Tuesday vs. Montreal but will draw back into the lineup Wednesday. The 26-year-old has three goals and three assists with 17 SOG through 18 games played while playing bottom-six minutes averaging only 10:41 TOI.

Bobrovsky allowed five goals on 23 shots (.783 SV%) for his fifth loss in seven starts as he was downed by Columbus his last time out. The 34-year-old has fought the puck all season as shown by his 3.62 GAA, .888 SV% and 4-5-1 record. He faces the Calgary Flames, who find themselves in the middle of a three-game losing streak but still ranking fourth in the NHL in shots on goal (34.8).
