The NHL has suspended Sam Bennett for one game for boarding Blake Coleman in Game 1.

Bennett was issued a two-minute minor penalty on the play but was slapped with a one-game suspension on Monday. This is a huge loss for the Panthers, who will likely need to lean on Alexander Wennberg more heavily in Game 2. Including Game 1, Bennett has scored six goals with 11 assists (17 points) in 11 games with Florida.

Marchand (rest) will not play on Tuesday.

Marchand is one of 16 regulars who will not be in the Bruins lineup on Tuesday. The Bruins will need to recall multiple players from their taxi squad/AHL to fill out their lineup. Zach Senyshyn is one of the players that is expected to draw in and replace Marchand on the wing.

Verhaeghe (upper-body) will not play Saturday; expected to be back Monday.

Despite practicing most of the week, Verhaeghe will not play Saturday vs. the Lightning. Head coach Joel Quenneville said that if it were Game 1 of the playoffs that Verhaeghe would be in. With their playoff seed ready locked up, there's no sense rushing Verhaeghe back.

Bennett (upper-body) will return to the Panthers lineup on Saturday.

Bennett missed the Panthers' most recent game (05/03) but will be back on the second line tonight vs. the Lightning. Bennett has been outstanding since arriving in Florida, scoring five goals with eight assists (13 points) in nine games.

Sam Bennett
Bennett is day-to-day with an upper-body injury.

Bennett will not be available for Monday's game vs. the Stars. This is terrible timing for Bennett, who has been red-hot since being traded to Florida. Alex Wennberg will move up to the second line and Mason Marchment will draw back into the lineup to replace him.

Rodrigues (lower-body) will not play on Saturday.

Rodrigues was hobbled after being hit by a Mike Matheson shoot on Thursday and will not be available for Saturday's game in Washington. Luckily for the Penguins, they may get Evgeni Malkin and/or Brandon Tanev back. Both are listed as game-time decisions.

Evan Rodrigues
Nosek (undisclosed) will be "out longer than day-to-day."

Nosek suffered an undisclosed injury early in Saturday's game vs. the Ducks and is expected to miss some time. This is bad timing for Nosek, who has enjoyed the best stretch of his career, scoring seven goals with 10 assists (17 points) in his last 23 games.
